Just let us know by your final payment due date (75 days prior to departure on most packages), and we'll change your departure or even your package with no fees or penalties. Need more time? Get a future travel credit for everything you've paid, excluding any travel insurance premiums.

How flexible are my travel plans with Friendly Planet?

Very flexible! We know being able to easily change your travel plans without concern or penalty is of the utmost importance. That's why we've created our Carefree Booking policy.† You can change your departure or even your package with no fees or penalties up to your final payment due date (75 days prior to departure on most packages). Or get a travel credit for everything you've paid toward a future trip.† Applies to new bookings only, limit one cancellation.

How much is it to reserve my spot on tour?

A small $199 deposit†† is all that is needed to reserve your spot on most of our packages. You can make payments online toward your trip whenever you want—as long as you're paid in full by the deadline (75 days before departure on most packages).

Should I purchase travel insurance? What does it cover?

We do recommend you purchase travel insurance to further protect you and your travel investment against the unexpected. For your convenience, we offer a plan provided by Travelex Insurance Services, and you can purchase it when you book or any time prior to making your final payment. † The Carefree Booking policy is not travel insurance and only applies to a new booking—defined as booking without the use of funds on file from a previous cancellation. With our Carefree Booking policy, if you book one of our scheduled departures and decide later not to travel for any reason, you can transfer all payments you've made excluding the cost of any issued flight tickets, towards another available departure date or package, with no change fees or penalties.

Alternately, you can choose to receive a future travel credit for all payments made, excluding the cost of any issued flight tickets; or you can choose to receive a refund for that same amount, minus the deposit, per person future travel credit.

You may use these credits anytime, however they must be used or transferred within 5 years of your booking.

The Carefree Booking policy only applies to your original booking—limiting rebookings to one. Subsequent bookings will be subject to standard cancellation penalties. Additionally, any coupon or discount (other than our Instant Savings) does not transfer from the cancelled booking and therefore will not be applied to the new booking.
